Mix It Up: Cosmetic Chemistry and the Business of Beauty

Join The Guidance Center’s Nurture the Future program and Detroit CHEMpreneurIST for an exciting afternoon learning about crafting beauty products and the ins and outs of launching your own brand.

Kids will learn:
About Chemistry: Explore the various types of mixtures in everyday life, with a special focus on how these concepts apply to creating cosmetic products. Kids will have an opportunity to create their own lip balm.
About Logo Design & Brand Development: Learn about branding and how to create effective logos. Kids will be guided through how to draft their own brand.

FREE snacks, giveaways and a drawing for a Cosmetic Chemistry Kit.

This workshop is geared to children 10+. Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Space is limited so registration is required. Walk-ins will be accepted if space is available.
